About Acovski Family Farm

Farm Forest Fridays was created from a simple desire—to give children the kind of childhood that feels slower, freer, and deeply connected to the outdoors.

Held on our family farm in Iron Station, NC, this weekly program invites children to spend their Fridays exploring fields, wandering wooded trails, caring for animals, and learning through hands-on experiences. From collecting eggs and feeding animals to building forts, playing in the creek, and creating nature-based crafts, each Friday is rooted in curiosity, creativity, and real-life learning.

We believe children learn best when they are given space to move, imagine, and discover. Our days are intentionally unhurried, allowing time for both guided activities and open-ended play. Whether we’re planting seeds, studying bugs and pollinators, or simply enjoying a snack under the trees, every moment is an opportunity to connect—with nature, with others, and with the rhythms of farm life.

At the heart of Farm Forest Fridays is our foundation in Jesus Christ, which shapes everything we do! 

We offer two groups to meet children where they are:

- Little Explorers (ages 1–3): a gentle, parent-and-child experience focused on sensory play, songs, and early exploration  

- Farm Forest Big Kids (ages 4–10): a drop-off program filled with adventure, responsibility, and hands-on learning  

At Farm Forest Fridays, kids will get dirty, build confidence, form friendships, and experience the kind of outdoor childhood that’s becoming harder to find.

This is a place where kids can be kids—wild, curious, and free.
